Canopy Atlanta works towards a future where every community in metro Atlanta has local residents who provide information and storytelling to help build more equitable, stronger communities.

We believe a key component of that is supporting community-powered journalism, whether that is a Facebook group, a newsletter, or a printed product.  Our partnerships allow us to better serve Metro Atlantans and extend our mission. We’ve partnered with Sophia Qureshi of 285 South, Brent Brewer of Our West End Newsletter, and Dominique Huff of South7585News.

These partnerships are an exciting opportunity for Canopy Atlanta to expand our coverage of Metro Atlanta neighborhoods and to create new opportunities for residents to share their stories.

Through community journalism partnerships, we can build on our shared vision to equip Metro Atlantans with the information and skills they need for greater agency,and reporting that’s responsive to community needs.
