Yana is a creative with an eye for nuance. Her career as a marketer and creative director has spanned corporate America to entrepreneurship and back, and her diverse experiences continue to inform her every move. She is actively engaged with and on behalf of her community, and she makes time to volunteer and serve on several boards.

Catherine was born and raised in West Virginia. After graduating from Xavier University in Cincinnati she spent one summer on scholarship at the Chautauqua Institution through the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons. Opportunities arose that ultimately landed her in Atlanta, in the telecom industry. However, creativity is her passion, and after finishing studies at Emory University, she is pursuing a career change into graphic design. Catherine has been a resident of Norcross for 13 years with her husband and dog. She’s seen the area grow and change and is eager to lend a voice to its further development.

Daniela is a journalist from Ecuador. She moved to the United States in 2019 to pursue a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Georgia. She has more than eight years of professional experience in nonprofit and environmental communication in Ecuador and Georgia. She currently works at the Latino Community Fund as the communications and content coordinator; and also serves as a volunteer at U-Lead Athens, as the Social Media and Digital Fundraising Coordinator. She has lived in Norcross since May 2023, with her husband, baby girl, two cats, and one dog. She loves nature and enjoys green spaces, reading fictional novel books, and spending time with her family.

Angie is passionate about convening politics, law, and education to further human rights and sustainability. In 2021, Angie joined Canopy Atlanta as a reporting fellow and community engagement liaison to amplify the concerns and hopes of her diverse community members through journalism. Angie grew up in a former war zone in Binh Dinh, Vietnam, where she was surrounded by remnants of the war from cemeteries of unnamed victims to active landmines that prey on unlucky rice farmers—until she was 9 years old. The humbling privilege of listening to survivors’ narratives solidified her commitment to human rights and storytelling. As a first generation American, she taught English to immigrants and refugees for over five years before obtaining her master’s degree in Education Policy. She is now a mother and a part-time law student. Her activism and writing have been featured on NPR, and in the LA Times, the Earth Institute, and the International House New York.
