Canopy Atlanta asked over 100 Norcross community members about the journalism they needed. This illustrated map of Norcross features places residents mentioned during that community listening.
Canopy Atlanta also trains and pays community members, our Fellows, to learn reporting skills to better serve their community. Our Google Map of Norcross features landmarks submitted by Canopy Atlanta Fellows Gellela Belachew, Daniela Racines, Jack Rose, and Angie Tran-Uddullah.
Norcross is a place of intersections and divisions, seen both in the physical highways that crisscross the city and in the challenges of bringing together the people and places that make up this diverse city.
With so many places of note, this map could feature only some of the locations Canopy Atlanta heard about from residents in our conversation – the many parks, the resources and a few of the restaurants.
